For the first time in my life, I find myself cheering for the US of A, given that the Chinese have pissed me off with their infantile gymnasts.
Ever had a root canal? No? Let me tell you, it sucks.
I feel almost as annoyed as I felt during my last few visits to church. At the very end, I was going just to avoid disappointing my husband, and just about everything that was said from the pulpit offended me. I was particularly offended by the guilt trips.

- He gave His life for you. The least you can do is give him 100% of yours
- When He was hanging on the cross, you were in His mind
- He gave YOU everything. What have you given Him?
So there you go, to me, a church service is as painful and as annoying as recovering from a root canal while watching the Olympics seeing

OUCH. Never had a root canal but know the other kind of pain!
I keep routing for the Canadians even though I am not watching any of it this year. I just don't have an interest, mostly due to the whole China thing...

It was the infections that led to my root canal procedures, not the procedures themselves, that were the worst pain of my life. The root canal procedures were a joy and a relief by comparison; after the first was done, i asked the dentist, "When do we start?" not knowing that he had finished.
I can't imagine any sermon or Bible reading that would be as painful as those infections.
P.S. Both on the same tooth, if you can believe that! Apparently, i had a mutant tooth that had more nerves than Gray's Anatomy said it should. Then after all that, the tooth got infected again. I got rid of it.
